Scope includes:

 

  • Controlled drying of moisture behind stone panels

  • Sound testing to locate movement or voids

  • Localized stabilization using injection methods

  • Reconstruction of deteriorated grout joints

  • Correction of loose or displaced tiles

  • Surface preparation and protective treatment appropriate to the material

  • Replacement of enclosure seals and perimeter silicone where required

Process Note:

No demolition or disruptive reconstruction required.

 

Multiple visits are required to allow proper drying and curing between steps.

For recent installations

DEFEND

Work intended to reduce long-term moisture accumulation and early movement.

 

Scope includes:

 

  • Movement testing and localized stabilization where needed

  • Joint correction where early structural settling is present

  • Surface preparation and protective treatment matched to material and usage

  • Inspection and adjustment of enclosure seals

 

 

Performed over multiple visits to allow curing between steps.

 

Specification Note:

Natural stone shower assemblies shall receive moisture migration control and joint stabilization by TERSO MR or approved equivalent prior to project closeout.

For previously treated showers

MAINTAIN

Ongoing service to manage exposure and maintain consistent performance.

 

Scope includes:

 

  • Surface preparation

  • Renewal of protective treatment

  • Inspection of enclosure seals

Recommended at 12–24 month intervals depending on usage.
